About the Test

New The questions, answers and marking scheme for this year's test are available as a pdf document here.

The test will be held Thursday, February 14 in room MP125 from 10:10AM to 11AM. The room for the test is in the North East corner of the North wing of McLennan; our classroom for this course is in the center of the North wing of McLennan.

The format of the test is closed book.

The test consists of two parts:

  1. Short answer. 10 short answer questions, worth 6 marks each. They will question you about facts of the Physics we have been discussing.
  2. Long answer. You will choose one of three given topics to write about in more detail. This section is worth 40% of the total mark on the test.

As we shall discuss in the class, I believe the test that is fairest to students and provides the most information on what students know is designed to be "hard." A brief summary of why I believe this to be true can be found here.

Warning Note: the examinable material in this year's version of JPU200Y is not completely the same as last year's version. We discussed what material is examinable in Class 5. Warning
