Introduction

"Schrödinger challenges Bohr to a duel because of Bohr's foul mouth. Schrödinger wounds Bohr in the leg. Not wishing to face legal prosecution, he puts Bohr into one of his boxes, most of which have cats in them. An officer arrives at the scene, and deduces from a blood trail what has happened. Bohr's dead body is found inside a box. Schrödinger tells the judge that it was not he who murdered Bohr, but rather, it was the officer who opened up the box. He proceeds to prove this to the jury. The judge gets the last laugh when he merely reduces the charge from first degree to second degree murder. Schrödinger is sentenced to eternal imprisonment in one of his damn boxes." --- Former JPU200Y student Anthony Vlasics

Today's Class

We discussed of the phenomenon of electron spin and correlation experiments involving spin. Supplementary Notes on this topic exist: html pdf.

We almost finished this topic, but I think at least a careful review of Correlation Experiments will be called for on Tuesday.
